While in the Chicago area Karen exhibited work in an installation format in which the viewer was invited to participate. The mixed media series The Waiting Room was exhibited nationally in solo and group shows. After a hiatus in creating and exhibiting art during a time of chronic pain and the loss of a child, Ms. Jayne relocated to Charleston, SC. The artist engaged the public again with Contagion which was exhibited as part of Piccolo Spoleto in 2019. Her two current series, Castoffs and Life in Layers are ready for exhibition.
